Sam is an illustrator whose work focuses on whimsy, mystery, and a playful love of the outdoors. He likes to focus on story with all of his art in a way that the viewer feels free to imagine themselves in. He enjoys creating full and vibrant environments, interesting characters to explore them, and he also enjoys creating lively hand drawn type that feels at home within the art. He enjoys backpacking, climbing, trail running, and just being outside as that's where most of his inspiration comes from. Sam has done work for children's books, comics, gig posters, educational signage, various merchandise including t-shirts, album covers, and stickers, as well as private commissions.  He works with both digital and traditionally illustration methods.
