Emily loves to draw; she drew her way through school, college and then on to university where she studied illustration. Emily draws both from observation and imagination from a diverse range of subjects. She also has a passion for typography, her illustrations often include hand drawn text, and she has drawn logos for a variety of clients. Emily is a digital artist sketching directly to screen allows her to retain the freehand line and style of her work. Her work is concerned with the little moments in life, capturing the unsaid emotion of a place or between characters, sometimes melancholy, sometimes humorous, looking at the world with questioning eyes full of intrigue, inspiration and possibilities. Emily has worked for a wide range of clients producing illustration for advertising, editorial, book covers and children’s books.
